God Is
“In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.” (Genesis 1:1)
The Bible not only points out that the LORD exists but also declares that He is eternal. The phrase “in the beginning” refers not only to the beginning of “things” but also to the beginning of “time.” Man wants to know when the universe came into existence. The LORD tells us it was at the beginning of time. Norman Geisler says, “it was not a creation in time, but a creation of time that God accomplished at the beginning.” The LORD’s presence at the beginning of time reveals He is timeless. This means that the LORD is more than past, present, and future. In simple terms, “He is.” Herein is the answer to the question, “Where did the LORD come from?” The LORD always is. Nothing created Him because if something created Him then there is something greater than Him and that something would thus become God. The LORD is the beginning of all things. Therefore, we can trust Him in all things and follow Him at all times.
Today is June 26. Trust and Follow the LORD.
Blessings,
Jim
