“In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.”  (Genesis 1:1)

Are we still on this one verse? What else can be said? The truth discovered in this first verse of the Bible is almost inexhaustible. Proclamation has been made that the eternal Creator does exist. This verse also speaks of the power of the LORD.  He is the all-powerful One. There is none before Him, none like Him.  He spoke and the world came in to order. His power is unleashed with one spoken word! This is proven in “creation” and “re-creation.”  In Acts 9 the LORD said, “Saul, Saul,” and one man’s life was radically transformed - “re-created.”  Saul went from a persecutor of the church to a proclaimer of Christ. I preached from that text yesterday morning and had to continue the message last night. At the close of both services people came to the altar testifying how the LORD had spoken directly to them through His Word.  Everyone of them encountered the power of the LORD. His power is still being unleashed. Lives are still being transformed by the power of the LORD. Has your’s?
