"Seeing" the LORD
“In the year that king Uzziah died I saw also the Lord...” (Isaiah 6:1)
Lourie and I just returned from a little vacation break. Last night we took the opportunity to worship with a church I formerly pastored. A large group within that beloved church had just returned from a mission trip in the Appalachian area of Kentucky and shared about the things the LORD had done. One of the gentlemen who went on the trip joined the church this past January. He was saved when he was 15 and is now 52. While in that region of Kentucky, he noticed many needs and the LORD began to “tug” on is heart. He asked the missionary who lived in the area if he had need for someone to come and help on a permanent basis. After seeing the sincerity of this man’s request, the missionary shared how he had been praying for the past six months for the LORD to send them someone with the specific skills this man possessed. At 52 years old, this dear saint of the LORD is packing up, relocating, and joining the LORD in a much needed area of ministry.
Don’t miss heaven’s orchestration here. This man moved from another state six months ago. The missionary started praying six months ago. This man joined a church that was planning a mission trip. He was moved by the LORD to go on this mission trip. The LORD perfectly positioned him through many events to place him right where he needed to be. At 52, he answered heaven’s call.
Today is July 7. I “saw the LORD” last night.

Thank you for your devotion on this issue, this is exactly how we see God moving in the hearts of people all across this land. God is putting together an Army of believers who will throw caution to the wind and simply trust him at his word and step out in faith. But this type of word is much needed to let others know that God is still on His throne and He is still in control.
