What Change?
“Has a nation changed gods when they were not gods? But My people have changed their glory for that which does not profit. ‘Be appalled, O heavens, at this, and shudder, be very desolate,’ declares the LORD.” (Jeremiah 2:11-12)
Change....we have heard this word for many months now. There are times when change is necessary. There are times when some want change simply for the sake of change. No doubt America needs change because we have changed. Over the years we have changed from the original intent of our forefathers. In 1620 the New England Charter, signed by King James I, confirmed that the goal for the establishment of our nation was: “...to advance the enlargement of the Christian religion, to the glory of God Almighty....” Our roots are Christian, based on the Bible, but we have changed to other gods. America needs real change, a change back to the LORD of heaven as He reveals Himself in the Bible. We need to apply our national motto, “In God We Trust.” We need to apply our pledge, “One nation under God.” Tomorrow is a BIG day in our nation. We have a great responsibility in voting for officials to represent us on the national and state levels. Which candidates are closer to the biblical world view? Be prayerful. Be scriptural. Be wise. Be obedient to the LORD. One day we will answer to Him for the way we vote.
Today is November 3. We have one day remaining before we actually mark the ballot.
Blessings,
Jim
