The Power of One Vote!
“Then said Elijah unto the people, I, even I only, remain a prophet of the LORD; but Baal's prophets are four hundred and fifty men.” (1 Kings 18:22)
Consider the impact one man can have. Elijah was one man who stood before four hundred and fifty false prophets. All odds appeared to be against him, but he stood for righteousness and came out victorious. Throughout history there have been many occasions where one man made a difference. Think about this for a moment. One person can impact an entire society. Today is Election Day. One vote can make the difference.
* In 1960 John F. Kennedy won the presidency of the United States over Richard Nixon by a margin of less than one vote per precinct.
* In 1923, one vote gave Adolf Hitler leadership of the Nazi party.
* In 1876, one vote in the Electoral College gave Rutherford B. Hayes the Presidency of the United States.
* In 1875, one vote changed France from a monarch to a republic.
* In 1776, one vote gave America the English language instead of German.
* In 1645, one vote gave Oliver Cromwell control of England.
Today is November 4. Your one vote counts. Go Vote!
Blessings,
Jim

These are awesome examples of the power of one. Did you see the video from AFR last week, proclaiming the power of "One?" Jesus was one who truly changed the course of all humanity. Praise Him for the privilege to vote. One can and One did make a difference!
He wants to make a difference through us, today as One, working through His body (the church).
