Worship...Now!

‘But an hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father.”  (John 4:23)

Jesus speaks of the “time for worship.”  “An hour is coming and now is...”  When is the “time for worship?”  It is now!  Now is the perfect time.  Not later today.  Not tomorrow.  Now!  What are you doing right now?  Is it an act of worship?  What will you be doing the next hour?  It will be another now when you get to that next hour.  Will it be an act of worship?  Colossians 3:16-17 says, “Let the word of Christ richly dwell within you, with all wisdom teaching and admonishing one another with psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with thankfulness in your hearts to God.  Whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through Him to God the Father.”  Whatever is done in word or deed is to be done in the name of the LORD.  That is worship folks!  The things we speak, the things we do are all to acts of worship.  Sharing the Word with someone today will be an act of worship.  Encouraging someone today with a psalm, hymn, or spiritual song will be an act of worship.  Giving thanks to God throughout the day will be an act of worship.  These are all acts of “public worship.”  How do we get prepared for such?  We must have time for “private worship?”  When will you get alone with the LORD in private worship?  How about “now?”

Today is November 20.  Now is the acceptable time!

Blessings,

Jim
